Don’t forget to bring a teddy bear or two for our philanthropy project! We are doing a teddy bear drive during March and April. The Lexington Police carry teddy bears in the trunk of their cars to pass out to children that are involved in upsetting situations where the police are called. These bears give a young child comfort in an otherwise scary and upsetting situation, whether it’s a vehicle accident, sick parent, domestic violence call, or even a house fire. These bears help soothe a scared child. If you would like to donate a teddy bear, please keep in mind they are for a child and also have to fit in the trunk of a police vehicle and not take up to much room. Please keep bears under 24 inches. We do ask that the bears are new. Please bring your donation to the monthly meeting in March or April. If you have any questions please email Tammy Martinez, Philanthropy Chair,
